I did splice all of the wires in the same manner as last year. Although likely not the best splices, I used marrets for the power leads, and silicon telecom connectors for all ther leads, including the very small coax, which I just stripped. If you can hear the scanner turning but the 'rotation time' is not within specification - or just not showing a rotation time - then it could just be a simple case of the detector (that detects the scanner spinning) has failed... The rotating antenna was scraping the bonding wire inside the radome View from the under the antenna looking up at the scrape marks This bonding or shield wire clearly was the culprit. Tiny scrape marks were visible on the bottom of the rotating antenna at the contact point, and a few strands of the shield wire were broken. Hi all, Jupes here (adam). The wind speed indicator suddenly stopped working, and the numbers were replaced by dashes. The wind direction indicator still works, as do the instrument lights. Very little info in documentation.

19,768. My new to me Raymarine radar always behaved very poorly, since I bought the boat. But recently, it seems to have gone completely belly up. In normal operation, all I get is a blank screen, which by forcing a higher gain manually (>90%) turns to blueish first, and eventually solid yellow. Unfortunately, the local Raymarine support is not. I went to use my radar last Saturday and I kept getting the message that the antenna was not rotating. The fog was clearing up so I didn't worry about it but I need to get it solved. It is a 2006 vintage radome and worked fine this winter. Anybody have experience solving this problem. RAYMARINE. I HAVE A 2204 CARVER 460 VOYAGER, THE RAYMARINE RADAR STOPPED SPINNING. WHAT CAN BE WRONG WITH IT?... I have a simrad 4 kw radar (not HD) and Simrad nse12 multifinction display, when I try to overlay the radar on the maps they do not line up, is there anyway I can synchronize them Thanks Garry. The radar leads are receiving 12.97v. The c95 is not recognizing that the Digital Radar is connected, but, it is - and it is receiving adequate power direct from its own circuit breaker on the panel. [CA11] Quantum Radar not Rotating Quantum Wireless Radar T70166. Installed new in July 2017. It seemed to be working fine, however hardly needed to use it except for occasionally having it on to get used to the display. Last summer we were in thick fog, and of course it failed. First it would not turn on. If the drive board was not sensing rotation and position it would send a message to the MFD. The system not painting is probably due to it doesn't know where to paint on the screen. Or it can be the ships heading sensor that is required to indicate the antenna alignment.
